I am a 37-year-old woman who has struggled with my weight my entire adult life. I have gained and lost weight countless of times being overweight by at least 10 pounds for a majority of the time.

I had signed up for a membership to Downtown Fitness in December 2009 to get a jump start on my New Year's resolution of losing 15 pounds. I got an e-mail from DTF promoting Chad's personal training business Shock Body Fitness. At first, I was hesitant to contact him thinking that I shouldn't spend more money on myself since I had just signed up with DTF. I soon realized that I SHOULD spend more money on myself since my health is the most important thing I have in my life.

I had my initial assessment with Chad on January 15, 2010. I felt comfortable with Chad right away - he is very personable and out-going. He asked a lot of questions and was interested in my answers. It was nice to have someone to talk to about my weight issues who sincerely felt that he could help me with my goal. He obviously knew what he was talking about and had a lot of great ideas for my program. I was given a packet of information on nutrition which is a key concept to Chad's program. I started personal training sessions with Chad on January 20th.

He was very supportive during my workout sessions - always making sure that I was doing the exercises the correct way and not hurting myself. After 4 weeks of personal training sessions with Chad I had lost 8 pounds. According to his fat testing measurements, I had lost 12.6 pounds of fat and gained 4.6 pounds of muscle. After 12 weeks of training I have lost my goal weight of 17 pounds, and dropped 15% body fat! I am now wearing a sizes smaller in my shirts and jeans when before my clothes used to feel tight on me. I feel and look stronger and healthier. I used to feel tired all of the time and now I feel rested and energetic. I had issues with some hip pain and no longer feel that discomfort. The best part is that I feel so much better about myself now. I have Chad to thank for that. I highly recommend the Shock Body Fitness program to everyone that is interested in becoming more healthy and/or losing weight. The committment has to be there but in the end the work is worth the effort.

It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Chad Moeller who has been my personal trainer.

I am a 54-year-old man who is trying to get back in shape. Facing the challenges of a bad back and previous back surgery, I developed my own exercise schedule and managed to lose some weight and get stronger. But, in May I had “hit the wall.” Then, I hired Chad.

Chad was very thorough in his review of my exercise program, goals and personal challenges. He created an exercise and resistance program that was manageable yet challenging. Every few weeks we would meet again so he could see my progress and “fine tune” the program. I have made tremendous progress both in loosing weight and adding strength. My body fat has decreased and my weight has increased slightly at the same time.
